Minnesota Trip

 

 

 

 

On Monday we went to see Petra & family in Minnesota, since Monika in town. So we drove there in the morning. The road was kind of tricky, but we made it!! so glad.

This was the very first trip that I took Carissa without Carson in a LONG trip and staying overnight. I was kinda worry at the beginning.. especially night time. But I think she was too tired and she just crashed at 10pm when we got back to the hotel.

We went to the Mall of America for lunch and took pictures with dora, linny, and spongebob & patrick. After that we checked in to the hotel and rest a lil bit. After that we went swimming for lil bit.

Dinner time, we went to a Schezuan restaurant near where my brother lives. Carissa did so well, she ate her food and wait patiently while my brother still eating.

After Dinner we went back to my brother's place for play time with Petra. Finally Carissa told me she's tired, so we went back to the hotel. I let her watched her portable dvd for lil bit and then she crashed...

Next day we went swimming again in the morning, and then went back to the mall for pictures time and lunch. 2:00pm we went back to Iowa. Got back safe and sound around 5:30 since the road was great and no trouble at all.

Carissa had so much fun this year opening presents. Though it wasn't the same without her grandma & pa around :(. The weather is not permitting this year.

Also...... I got my first Digital SLR Camera (Canon) from Carson :) I was so surprised and shocked.. and cried when I opened the present. Thanks Daddy.. we love you so much.

Having Fun with Ie Ie Monika

My cousin from my mom's side is here with us since Dec 12-30. She's spending her Christmas with us here in Iowa. Tho there's nothing to do around here but Carissa has been the focal of attention and entertainment for all of us.

Carissa LOVES her ie ie monika, and always looks for her. She always wants to hang out with the girls she said.

Tinkerbell

Carissa is going thru a dress up stage, yesterday we went to sam's club and found this tinkerbell outfit on sale for $10. So I bought 1 for her, of course I need to alter the dress since the dress is for sz 4-6T. But she loves the dress, she dance and sing in it! :)

Carissa Dedication Day

Today we finally got a chance to dedicate Carissa. For some of you who don't know what child dedication is. Here's some brief explanation:

What is Baby/Child Dedication?
Baby dedication and child dedication are the act of giving back to God the gift he has given you as parents. It is an act of worship, thanksgiving, dependence, trust, and commitment. The practice of child dedication has been modeled throughout the Bible.

The Israelites brought their 8-day-old children to the priest for blessing. Hannah (I Samuel 1:24-28) brought her long-awaited son Samuel to the priest Eli to dedicate him to the Lord. Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the temple for his dedication.
We recognize that salvation only comes to a child through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is not passed on to a child through dedication. Parents covenant to raise their children by modeling Godly principles with the desire that one day, their children will receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
