Perfect Games

Today mommy & carissa took mommy's college friend who visited ames to all around town. We started with 10:00 picked Lenny up from Mr. Wright's house and then took her to Target & Super Wal*Mart since mommy needs to do a lil grocery shopping. After that we went to Little Taipei for lunch, after lunch we took Lenny to west ames, where the newer development and showed her the Perfect Games.

BUT Carissa had a diaper blow out, we're talking a disaster diaper blow out here... so we had to take Carissa home... gave her a bath and then we went back to the Perfect Games. Carissa loves 2 thing... the puppy house (moon bounce) and the Sponge Bob ticket game. That's it.. :D

We dropped Lenny back to Mr. Wright's house, then nap time for Carissa. She took 2 hrs nap, and then we went for a stroller walk at Ada Hayden park with Mac (Mommy's friend). After a very long walk (I will be sore for sure tomorrow), we dropped Mac off at her house and then we went home for supper. Waiting for Daddy to come home, since Carissa said she wanted to see Sponge Bob & the puppy house again. Plus Carson hasn't seen the place yet and I had to take several pictures of their facilities for their website.

After Carissa ran around and so happy to see Sponge Bob, we went home and time for her to go to bed :). Night night Icha...

PS: She loves her room so much now, she called it "Dora room" and she always wants to read and play in her room. So cute!! :)

UP UP UP

Today we actually went to a movie theater together (Carissa & I). I was thinking about it all week, googling about how to take your toddler to a movie theater and all that. Most of the forums said "DO NOT take your toddler" since they can't sit still and have a short attention span.

But this morning Carissa actually came up to me and said "mommy watch up" so I put the UP movie trailer on my laptop and she watched it. I asked her "do you want to watch up?" and she said "YES".

So we went to the early bird show (11am), it's only $4.50 per person. When we got there the movie theater still closed, but Carissa went straight to the UP poster outside the theater and said "Mommy UP!" She got soooo excited.

We got in the theater, she sat by herself at first but she's too light for the chair so she didn't sit comfortably. Finally she sat on my lap the whole time till about 12:30pm, she knows it's lunch time so she wanted to go. Then we went home, ate lunch and now she's napping :).

Here's the tips for mommy who wants to bring their toddler to the movie:
1. Get to the movie late (skip the previews)
2. Bring their milk, juice, crackers.
3. Sit at the aisle so you can get out easily
4. They actually have booster seat if you need one
5. just relax, no body cares... it's a kid's movie.. most of the people in the theater bring their kids too.
6. Go to the matinee show.. less crowd.

Since she had some trouble sleeping in her new bed, we decided to let her pick the decoration for her room and decorate it. She actually picked the dora theme, and it was on sale at wal-mart for $7 per border. So we got 2 borders and 1 decoration that was on sale too. Then we put some glow in the dark stars on her ceiling and she did 3 stars on her wall.

Now she LOVES her room, she calls her room the "dora room" :)

Today we went to the Science Center of Iowa the whole morning.. from 9:30-ish am to 12pm. Carissa had so much fun, and mommy too, plus she still free till July :D
