Great creative book

Today I was soooo bored and didn't have any motivation to get out of the house at all. But finally we went to a store and then to the library. While Carissa playing, I browsed for a fun & creative book to entertain Carissa. So I found this book! I was going to borrow a First Art for kids book, but they all checked out.

So I found this book instead.. it has a LOT of fun ideas with cheap stuff too, one of the ideas that I'm trying right now is a 'early morning fun' basically you can use a basket or small plastic crate (I used a lil hand bag), and stuffed it with lil toys that safe for your kid to play with unsupervised. So tomorrow morning when she gets up before I got up, she can find that bag and play with the toys in it. Hopefully can occupied her for a good 15-20 mins so I can put my contacts on first and get ready.

I think this book is a must to have book! :)

Carissa's Room

Yesterday we went to Target and found this cute peel and stick wall decoration for $9.99. Now her room looks like a kids room :). But the problem is, I think they designed this stickers for a flat surface while our house have textured wall. So it keep on falling off.

Let me know if you have any suggestion how to keep it stick on the wall. Maybe some transparent glue or something that easy to be removed too.

She's getting taller now, she can actually reach the door handle *sigh* good think she doesn't know how to open the door yet :D

Bubbles!! Bubbles!!!

Grandma & grandpa visited us on Sunday, and they bought Icha a bubble machine. She totally LOVES it!!! thank you grandma & grandpa. :)

Carissa had a blast, even she refused to nap. Finally she got wayyyyyy too cranky around 3:30-ish and we had to put her down for a nap. :)

Road Trip to Williamsburg

Today we went to Williamsburg (it's about 1 hrs 45 minutes from Ames). We went to the Tanger Outlet with Vone & Ringga. We were planning to go to Iowa City but people kept on telling us how traveling to Iowa city wasn't recommended because of the road condition. So oh well.. we went to williamsburg instead (30 miles south of Iowa city).

We went shopping all day from 11 to 2pm with Carissa... yes.. Carissa came with us :). I'm so proud of her, she was so good in the car and even when we're shopping around. BUT I let her walk around in the store on her own when I don't feel like shopping in the store :).

I'm wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to tired, can't even gather my strength to make shoes tonight.. the orders need to wait till next week.. so tired... went to playdate and then we went swimming in Des Moines with daddy. sooooooooooooo tired... just play the slideshow I already put some caption on it.

Kool-aid Playdough

Kool-Aid Play Dough

The children will love the smell of this playdough!

2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup salt
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups boiling water
2 packages unsweetened Kool-Aid

Mix dry ingredients. Add oil and water. Wearing gloves, knead for 10 minutes. Store in zip lock bag in refrigerator.

We made playdough today, it was fun! :) and we used orange kool-aid so it smells so good! :)

I'm a baby mommy....

For most of you who's been reading Carissa's blog since she's in my tummy. You all know that Carissa had some problems using bottle with a nipple when she was a baby. For some strange reason, she's really interested in bottle these days.. this is one of the examples. She likes to suck on this baby bottle (it's her dolly baby bottle). But yeah... now we tried to hide the real bottle that laying around our house. We used to have 1 baby bottle that we used just for playing in the bath tub. But she used it to drink bath water.. so that's a yucky... so I had to hide it somewhere else.

Very Fun Day!

We had a wonderful and fun day today Started with we went to the indoor playground at the city hall... then we went to Target to get more summer outfit and got a cute swim suit for Carissa.

Went back home, she ate her lunch... then she took her nap till 2.

She woke up from her nap, then we went to AmericInn hotel to swim . They allow public to use their pool during weekdays for $2/person. It was FUN! she LOVES the water... she even refused to use her floaties and kick kick kick like she knows how to swim.

I even had a hard time to tell her it's done. She was shivering... we went swimming for about an hour. Then we went home... she ate her snacks & fruits...

Fun Fun Fun day!! I can't wait till Summer!!!! ooo so excited!!!

Family Story Time

Today we went to the Ames Public Library since they have family story time. Amazing how she can actually sit in her lil carpet and actually paid attention to the story. She even tried to dance the "head shoulder knees and toes" dance. She's so cute.. she tried so hard to keep up but always stuck at her toes :).

She actually paid attention for about 20 minutes.. 3 stories and 2 dance time!

I was amazed... we're talking about a girl who can't even sit still here... so proud of her... :)

One Faux Spring Day

It was so nice outside today, though it was windy... but still I could just go out without my puffy coat.

We took the opportunity to play in our backyard. Now I really wish we have a swing set or something... so Carissa can play. But she found Morgan's old football toy and she just play with that the whole time.

The forgotten Auntie

Hahahahah Ie Ie Ramona was not happy when her name didn't get mention on Icha's blog... hahaha anyway.. I forgot... so Friday-Saturday last week Vone was here.. and then SUNDAY... Ie Ie (read e-e) Ramona was here with Chloe.. and she actually bought a new sewing machine that almost look like what I have but newer version. She made her first solo project without my help. She even had dinner with us! :) Good job ie ie mony... and thanks for bringing Chloe to come and play with Icha!! :)

Happy 19 Months Young!!

Well today she's officially 19 months. What's new with her? nothing much beside she talks alot more like babbling following by Mimmie or Pooh or Duck.

Ooo the newest one today, she actually gave me a kiss out of no where.

Today we just stayed at home since she got bad cold.. the very bad one this week. She's been having cold on and off for the past 3 weeks.. but she got lil bit fever last night. Then she took a nap from 11am to 3:30pm! yeah.. she's sick alright...

Anyway, I accidentally took a nap.. and for some of you who knows me.. I can't take a nap.. it gives me headache. So I woke up this afternoon with a major headache.. I threw up.. and the whole nine yards. I put on Mickey Mouse DVD and laid on the couch with Icha. Suddenly she turned her head and gave me a kiss on my cheek *AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW*

She can't do it on command tho.. she will give you one when she feels like it.. same thing with hugs.. :) sorry people.. you just have to gain that from her. :D

When she's sick she became a picky eater and will say NO to everything. :(

Anyway, hopefully she's feeling better soon..!!!!!

Icha & Declan

I was so blessed with so many good friends... we had Vone on Friday - Saturday and then we had Kari & Declan on Monday - Tuesday. I LOVE having people around.. especially during wrestling season while Carson not around all the times. So these good friends of mine came and stay with us and make us not lonely anymore :).

Icha & Declan don't really play together yet, but they play okay except sometime Carissa not good at sharing but they had fun playing with bubbles!!! :).

BUT today in her music class, she did MUCH better.. she actually patiently waited for her turn to hold the stuffed puppy and handed to the girl who sat next to us. She's getting better... but I don't want to jinx it.. probably next week she would throw tantrum and scream again.. :D heheheh

hmmppfff.... now the house back to quiet again *sigh* I miss living with people... Maybe during wrestling season I could try to find a roomate!!!! *hint.. vone... vone.. kari.. kari.. anyone? grandma? :D*

Mashed Potatoes Mustache

Carissa has been independently eating by herself these days. But she still need assistant for sure, especially with eating soup. Since she loves to eat soup. Even when we went to Olive Garden I had to take her tees off since she refused to wear her bib and refused to be fed! *sigh* so yeah...

Anyway, her new fav food.. mashed potatoes with gravy with green beans. Yum!! :)

Today Ramona brought Chloe to our house so Icha can play with her while she sew (she just bought a new sewing machine and she wanted me to teach her how to use the machine). So anyway... Carissa had a blast until Chloe hungry and start licking all over her face and Chloe knocked her down :D hahahahahah.

It's a fun weekend after all!! :) I love having friends & family around!! :)
