Thanks for everything Pappa & Grandma, we had so much fun. Mommy also got her energy back to do house chores. I already unpacked and did 1 huge load of laundry.

Weekend Story

We made it! Back at home at last. I think Carissa already more homesick than I am. She's been saying bye bye since Friday. Carissa doesn't sleep good with us, especially when Carson around. She thinks it's play time when Carson around. So last night I had to kick him out from our bedroom so Carissa could sleep.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving everyone!! Mommy has been relaxing at the 'in-laws paradise" these days :) enjoying her time and forgot to update the blog :D sorry...

Anyway we had a great thanksgiving day, ate good food, went shopping yesterday for a little bit (not on the crazy black friday rush tho). We went to several stores and got most of the Christmas shopping done. We decided to not going overboard with gifts this year *yeah.. every year we keep on saying this to ourselves*

Now Carissa is playing with her cousin Marcus while mommy still in her PJs updating Icha's blog.

Christmas Comes Way too Early for Carissa

Look what I found at Goodwill.. yes.. Goodwill!! for $14.99!! yes.. the whole house with the furniture and the lil mommy, daddy, and baby. What a deal!!!

I think I'm more excited than her right now :D

Sorry.. it's been a while since I update Carissa's blog... I have no idea what I've been so busy about. Two days after Halloween weekend, I went to Target and they had 90% OFF Halloween stuff. So I found this cute trick or treating basket for $1 a piece. I bought 2 of them :D the spider one and the cute hello kitty one.

For now we only use the basket to put all her little balls, since we have over 300 little balls everywhere (well.. she has a ball-pitt) so yeah.

Now she likes to use these baskets as her hat. Here are some pictures of her, putting the "hat" by herself.

This morning, she woke up at 8:30am YES 8:30.. and she went to bed at 7:00pm (I can see all the other moms that has a younger child get jealous and wants to throw eggs at me). :D HAH..

and then at 11:20-ish am she actually grabbed a blanket, and went to Carson and said "Night night"... it means she wants to take a nap. She even kind of give a louder confirmation to her daddy "NIGHT NIGHT". So Carson took her upstairs to her bedroom and put her down with her smiley face, then she went to sleep... she's growing up so fast... *sobbing*

Cooking with Mommy

Carissa's favorite thing to do today, wearing her new apron from mommy's friend. She has an online store too, so if you want to get it for someone you know or your lil one. I think this is such a cute affordable and nice apron! Carissa loves it, this morning she got up and she looked for her apron and asked me to help her to put it on her.

Then we went to her music class, so we had to take the apron off and I told her she can wear it again later. After the music class I put her down for nap, after nap I forgot about the apron. But she reminds me.. she brought her apron and ask "please.." so I can help her to put it on her.

Look Who's Facing Forward Now?!

Carissa officially facing forward now, yesterday she weighed herself on the bathroom scale, and it said 21 lbs!!! :) yeah i know.. she's tiny.

Carson switched her car seat last night and this morning we went to the Bank, and she loves facing forward. I told her to see stuff when we were on the road, and she kept on saying "wowwwwwwww"

Friday Fun with Auntie Vone

We went to Olive Garden yesterday with auntie Vone, then we went to Best Buy since Auntie Vone needs a new laptop :D. After that we went to Toys'R'Us for a lil bit and then we went to Old Navy. Auntie Vone bought Carissa a very cute dress... she will wear the dress for thanksgiving. :) Thanks auntie vone!!!! :)

Yes, we were playing outside, and yes it's cold still here in Iowa.. but this girl I'm telling you. She loves BUBBLES! she has to play with bubbles.

So I put on her warm jacket and warm boots, and play out side for a little bit. She loves playing outside.

By the way, her new word... one of the words that I'm so not looking forward to hear.. "WHY" *sigh* yes... here's what happened..

2 days ago:
Mommy: Icha, yuk makan yuk (carissa.. let's eat..)
Icha: NO
Mommy: Why???!!!!
Icha: WHY????
Mommy: oh no...

Brrrr....

Ugh.. it's getting colder and colder each day.. so we don't really go out as much as we used to. :( Bah... today daddy has a day off and he actually came with us to Carissa's music class, so he knows what we do at the music class. :) It was fun!! :)

Oo and today we officially removed the gate from the living room to the kitchen..

Well.. we kinda have to.. since Carissa broke the gate.. she shook it really hard until the screws fell off from the wall. So.. bye bye gate..

Tonight when we put Icha down for her bed time, I put her down and said "night night sweetie" and the she replied back "night night" That's like the cutest thing ever! she just made my day complete.. :)

I'm too lazy to cook something fancy tonight, so I decided to make Mimmie's Cheese Burger Pizza (translation: Cheese Burger Pizza with Cheese shaped like Mickey Mouse) :D.

Happy 16 month young baby girl...

Last Tuesday, she's officially 16 months old. Wow... time flies by very fast :(. But I'm so glad that I have the opportunity to spend every day with her seeing her grow.

What's new this month? She's been talking a lot.. she tried to mimic/copy what we said. I think the most awesome part is, she knows how to say night night, and sometime she can say please now. The other great thing about signing with your baby, your baby even already knows manner before she knows how to say it. Carissa has been signing thank you and please since she was very young.

She still takes 2 naps in a day sometime... she understand a lot of words both in English and in Indonesian. She has a really good color coordination, she actually knows that the red B piece will go to the red B slot (tho she still struggle to match the shape to fit into the hole sometime).

She knows how to eat by herself using spoon, fork, even sometime chopstick :D hauhauahua believe it or not :D.

Anyway, I have to go to bed.. if I remember what's the newest trick that she does, I will let you know.

Last weekend grandma gave us this fabric, so I made a pair of slippers for Icha. Isn't it adorable!!!! anyway she loves it.. it so soft and cute! :)

New Table

Yesterday I saw this Mickey Mouse Folding Table with 2 chairs for $25 at Dollar General store, today we went to the dollar general store and found it!!! they only have 1 Mickey Mouse left and 1 Princess and 1 Cars. The Princess one is cute too, but she likes Mickey better.

Tonight, I asked her to eat on high chair but instead she climbed up on her mickey chair and she wanted to eat on her new table :D.






After we're done eating, mommy & Icha being silly, I took it with my left hand and she actually smiled :D. I think the last one is the best! :)

We had so much fun at Grandma's this weekend as always. Carissa learned how to say a lot of new words. One of the funniest one was:

what else.. ooo she knows how to say "boy oh boy oh boy" and "Oh no.." "cheese" "I don't know" *follow with a shrug*.
